Product Description
The Orbea Orca GLT features Orbea's ultra-high-modulus carbon fiber, Gold-level frame mated to Shimano Ultegra components for a more budget-friendlyAAAbut still incredibly competent?race bike. The freshly-redesigned Orca frame is 14% more aerodynamic than the previous incarnation, while maintaining the stiffness required for pro-level racing and the ride quality desired for long days in the saddle. When designing the new Orca, Orbea utilized the San Diego wind tunnel to maximize the aerodynamic advantage of the new frame. The time spent in the wind tunnel, combined with technology borrowed from the Ordu TT bike, resulted in a 14% decrease in drag for the new model. Never ones to ignore the most important aspect of frame buildingAAAcomfort and ride qualityAAAOrbea engineered the Orca's rear triangle and fork to turn traction-force compression into shear force, which results in a much smoother, comfortable ride without compromising lateral stiffness.
