The Surrey Deluxe bike--a staple of the leisure cycle and rental business for more than 35 years--is designed for three adults and two small children, with two foam-injected bench-style seats and an easy seven-speed gearing package. The result is a luxury touring bike that pedals like a bike and steers like a car. The Surrey Deluxe is well built, with heavy-gauge, stainless-steel spokes; aluminum fenders and panels; an industrial-grade, rust-free KMC chain; aluminum alloy cranks; and high-quality rack-and-pinion steering. The bike also includes Surrey's Wide Track design, which offers the best lateral stability in the industry. With a wheel base greater than the industry average, the Wide Track gives the bike added safety and stability during turns--a must for a multi-passenger bike.
The bike's handlebar child seat (patent pending) is yet another exclusive feature of the Surrey Deluxe. The design allows for two children up to the age of 9 years old to ride safely using the two-point safety straps.
