Product Description
The Swiss have garnered a reputation for packaging tools into a versatile package, like that little red pocket knife you have with a handful of useful accessories. The BMC Trailfox TF01/Shimano XT Complete Bike is no different. 150mm of APS suspension travel combined with BMC's carbon know-how, and dressed with top-tier brands like Shimano, Fox, and Easton give the Trailfox XC efficiency with highly technical aptitude.BMC carefully calculated the position of the pivot points on the APS (Advanced Pivot System), so the Trailfox TF01 gets a highly efficient ride that doesn't affect suspension plushness. All pedal power is transformed to forward motion and not into compressing the rear shock. This suspension design also promotes awesome traction when climbing on uneven surfaces. Controlling the movement is Fox's venerable Float RP2. The APS suspension system is so efficient there's no need for a complicated rear shock. The Float PR2 offers rebound adjustment and a ProPedal switch for added stiffness when mashing pedals during the climb. BMC equips the Trailfox TF01 with its initial load indicator for simple and straight forward sag setting -- ensuring maximum suspension performance. The Trailfox's carbon frame reaps the benefits of a decade long refinement of the iSC (integrated Skeleton Concept). Using the latest computer-aided finite elements methods, BMC tailors each unidirectional carbon tube to perfectly distribute forces throughout the frame. They've also optimized strength and stiffness where it's needed most: the bottom bracket junction, the tapered head tube, and at the shock mount. What this means for you is a light and lively ride mixed with all-mountain-type durability. The rear axle is a 142x12mm thru axle for spot-on tracking, and the frame features BMC's natural born post mount for the rear brake. This mount doesn't require an adapter, which keeps weight down and strength up.
